Ecologist - Assistant Professor level, tenure-track

The Biology Program at Bard College is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in ecology at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be a broadly trained ecologist whose research interests complement the program’s existing strengths. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory biology, introductory and intermediate courses in ecology, as well as advanced courses in the candidate's area of specialization. An active research program, including supervision of undergraduate research, will be expected. A competitive startup package is available. Familiarity with liberal arts colleges, teaching experience, and postdoctoral experience are desirable.

Developmental biology/Physiology - Tenure-track

The Biology Program at Bard College is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position, beginning September 2012 (rank commensurate with experience). The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D., be committed to excellence in undergraduate education, and maintain an active research program involving undergraduates. The program is seeking individuals with research programs focusing on questions in either physiology or developmental biology. Special consideration will be given to candidates using genomic approaches as part of their experimental approach.
